I haven't quite jumped into Fall yet, still hanging onto summer. Provo has been nice enough to give me some sunny/warm days over the last few weeks so I can continue to pretend that its summer. Chandler and I have been having some great bike rides and lazy afternoons at the park.
I have finally been getting into my reading groove (school kind of took that away for a while). I have been reading up a storm and just started to re-read my favorite book by my favorite author: A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. There are so many beautiful themes in the book, but my favorite is the theme of resurrection. Dickens was originally going to title the whole book "recalled to life". The book reminds me that we all are able to be "recalled to life". Many of the characters make huge changes in their lives and its very inspiring.One of my favorite parts is when the character who gives up his life for others in the end finds true peace and happiness, he finds life when he is in fact "losing it". He reminds us of the Lords promise when he quotes "I am the Resurrection and the Life, saith the Lord: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." I have been thinking about this topic a lot lately. In my job I see many people at the end of their life. I have been grateful for the opportunity to ponder more on life after death. My testimony of the plan of salvation has grown so much. The Lord's promise regarding resurrection has never been so important to me.

There aren't many authors now a days that base their whole story on the Savior. So well written, I cried so hard at the end the last time I read it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I just started reading the little house series. I've now learned how to clean/load a gun, collect maple sugar, yoke up oxen and fry a donut properly! I love the morals through out them, they're a fun read.
I have been thinking about the title of your post for the last few days. Especially how it relates to your shared thought regarding recalling our lives by losing our lives. Nice.
